   To ensure cleanliness in every ward of the village, 1.10 lakh Safai Karamcharis will be deployed.  After the implementation of Har Gali Pucca Karan Yojana in the villages, now the government has started work on the plan to deploy personnel, supervisors for cleaning those streets.  Under the Lohia Swachh Abhiyan being run in the villages under Panchayati Raj Department and Rural Development Department, an action plan has been prepared for the operation of this scheme.  It is being proposed to give guidelines to all the districts to have one Safai Karamchari in each ward.  In fact, every pucca street, pucca plan and rural drinking water decision plan has been implemented in village panchayats under the guidance of Panchayati Raj Department through Ward Implementation and Management Committee.  The deployment of sanitation workers is also likely to be done through this committee.

   Under the program of good governance, the government has taken a pledge of a clean village-prosperous village under the seven resolution program of self-reliant. To accomplish this, there is a plan to use the funds of the Finance Commission in the Lohia Swachh Abhiyan. Last year, under the three-tier Panchayati Raj system, 8067 panchayats and members were elected in 109634 wards of the state. Till now almost all the wards have got pucca lanes and drains. However, the process of connecting some abandoned settlements with pucca lanes and drains is still in progress. Now the Panchayati State Department has started work on the deployment of sanitation workers to ensure cleanliness in all 1.10 lakh wards with the amount of grant from Swachh Bharat Mission and 15th Finance Commission under Solid and Liquid Waste Management. In this, like urban bodies, the streets of villages can also be kept clean.
